Times are tough but the Governor's budget does not create jobs or improve our state's economy.

Instead of making the politicians and corporate executives who made the economic mess clean it up, the Governor is asking these hardworking middle class Americans to make even more sacrifices that will hurt families and hurt our children’s future.

I am a proud member of the Communications Workers of America. I don’t see how the budget plan helps to create jobs but I do see how this plan tries to silence those voices who seek to oppose the Governor.

The governor's proposed budget will make it even harder for working families to put food on the table or get the best education or medical care possible for their kids if teachers and nurses will no longer be able to bargain for smaller class sizes or enough staffing to care for patient needs.

Our leaders should reject the budget proposal and instead focus on policies that create jobs, rather than an approach that cripples vital services that protect our families and communities and makes it even tougher for hardworking people in our state to provide for themselves and their families.
